fall fest at the pumpkin patch

Finally, pictures of the other kids, ie, a child not named Jonny ( but only because he was asleep in his sling the whole time). Traipsing through the sunflower fields.

"Driving" the tractor
Letting Daddy lead the way.

See if you can distinguish us from the scarecrow pirates... arghhh Jonny and I
the kids. I have given up on getting a picture with everyone actually looking.
you know I had to take a shot of this... I seriously think it's easier to get the bugs to stay still than it is the kids...
Joyana.. her first day in the Bob and Larry overalls. We got these when Joey was little and they've all worn them.

Ok, story behind the face painting.. we got there right after the "real" face painter went on break. only we didn't know this. I thought it was unusual that the face painter was a 11 year old kid.. but ok. Jessi's is alright... Joey, well he was *supposed to look like a carved pumpkin... thus the black "holes"... but then the kid surrounded it with orange. wow. a multi-colored ghoul. Then... he added green blobs that were leaves. at least that is what he said. Anyway, we let the paint stay on long enough to take a picture and then off it came. seriously... I'm not sure if that is funny or scary.
Daddy and Joyana
Story here... we thought it would be cute to get a picture of Joy smelling the bank of flowers, so we told her to smell them. It took a few tries so we had to have her smell them a couple times... this made Joey very curious and he decided to see what all the fuss was about.
Joey ended up rather confused because the flowers "didn't smell so great anyway."

Mary Ellen... I thought of you when I was trying to get a shot of Jessi... she has somehow learned about posing... you should have seen the poses I nixed before letting her go with this one. sigh.

excuse the happy faces.. we were pointed right into the sun. this is us loading up on the wagon to go out to the field. the misshapen lump is Jonny. believe it or not, he is quite comfy like this.

with their carefully chosen pumpkins

Joey with his prize

coming in the gate ok, this kid showing the goat... he is the one who was "filling in" at the face painting booth. he did do a great job with the livestock though.

another cute picture ruined by the sun

I was already getting tickled at your statement that you have given up trying to get a picture with everyone looking then I got to the one of your little "poser" - that was great!! At least we both know our kids are normal right??!?

The picture of your little ghoul, er pumpkin, was downright hysterical!

Gotta love this time of year. I've enjoyed seeing all your cute family pictures...especially the one of Jesse in the hay. Love the face painting story. And Johnny looks as comfy as a kangaroo in a pouch.
